Long Description 2:
The programme 'exif2xml' V1.0 is freeware. It is a tiny and powerful tool that can read EXIF metadata from JPEG files and can export it to XML files. It is W3C compliant and is very easy to use. It can read all the metadata stored in JPEG files, including GPS coordinates. It is very easy to use, even for non-specialists, because it does not require special knowledges. It is friendly: it stays on top of the windows and thanks to the drag'n drop function, the user sends easily the JPEG filename to the program. The EXIF metadata are visible immediately in the main panel. For simplicity purpose, there is only one form and two buttons. The XML button allows to start the conversion. This button is visible only if the input file is a valid JPEG file that contains EXIF metadata; Otherwise, a message indicates that there is no EXIF metadata in the JPEG file. The program suggests automatically a filename for the XML files, based on the JPEG file : if the input file is 'filename.jpg', the output file suggestion is 'filename.xml' . The user can also choose a different file name for the XML output. If the XML file already exists, the program warn the user and ask if the file can be overwritten. This tool can also be used to quickly see the metadata of a JPEG file, even without XML conversion.
