Planiqa from www.planning-labs.eu is advanced new software for project management. It combines flow schemes and planning time schemes (GANTT charts). Projects are defined including many activities: tasks, decisions, checklists and multiselect options, appointments, task reports, e-mails, etcetera. Planiqa enables project cost estimates, project reporting in MS Word, RTF or HTML, and overviews of dozens of projects.

Planiqa from www.planning-labs.eu is not an average project planning program, it offers advanced new features that you won't find in other software for project management (aimed mostly at GANTT charts). In Planiqa each project planning is based on a project workflow scheme (that can be quickly made by the user or can be a read from a ' standard library ') which may include decision steps, check lists and other select options. Over 30 types of project activities can be used in the definition. In addition, a Planiqa flow scheme has a ' dynamic ' mode where the user can make decisions (in the graphical scheme) that will cause changes in the workflow, as well as in the timeplanning (and the GANTT diagram). It also enables the user to display the flow scheme window and the GANTT window next to each other, and show clearly at what stage he/she is in the project. In the usual GANTT diagrams that overview is missing. If workflow changes or planning changes are needed Planiqa enables that with very little work. With a few clicks you can make adjustments and see the effects of the changes made. Finally Planiqa enables a quick assignment of project teams - with planned hours and material cost - from which it makes a cost estimatest. There too, adjustments can be made quickly. If during the project it turns out, that certain tasks take longer than planned, the program warns at an early stage what project delays and cost overruns can be expected. The program can give early warnings that may be useful for the project manager. Management reports can be printed with a mouseclick at any stage of the project, either in Microsoft Word (. doc), in Wordpad format (.RTF) or in Html format. There is simply no alternative to the advanced capabilities in Planiqa. It is also very suitable for education in project management given e.g. the critical-path functionality and optimization options when assigning teams to projects.
