Long Description 1: Project Monitor is an easy to use time-tracking and analysis application designed for anyone working on a time-for-money basis. If your livelihood depends upon accurately categorising and recording your working day on the basis of client, project and activity, Project Monitor is sure to benefit you and your business. Clock on and clock off, or enter times manually, produce detailed or summarised reports, and weekly or fortnightly timesheets.
Long Description 2: Project Monitor is an easy to use software application designed for anyone working on a time-for-money basis whose livelihood depends upon accurately categorising and recording their working day on the basis of client, project and activity.
By creating a hierarchy of clients, projects and activities when you first start Project Monitor, you can limit the combinations of client, project and activity you're able to assign times against to those you've defined.
Once you've created your hierarchy of clients, projects and activities, you're free to choose whether to record your work tasks in real time or enter them retrospectively.
With its flexible filtering options, Project Monitor is a valuable time-tracking tool. When it comes to analysing your times, you can easily apply a filter and compare actual work effort against your project estimates.
Weekly and fortnightly timesheets can be generated with a couple of mouse clicks. Other reporting options allow you to print detailed or summarised reports displaying times recorded against the hierarchy of clients, projects and activities you've created.
Project Monitor isn't trying to be an accounting package - there are plenty of products available which fulfill that role - but it does provide functions which allow you to record whether times have been invoiced or paid; you can easily record an invoice number, an invoice date or a payment date against one or more of your work records.
As the number of records displayed on the main screen grows, you can choose to archive older records, perhaps on the basis of those times that have been invoiced and paid.
Should you wish to work with your times independently of Project Monitor, the ability to export your times to a text file gives you the freedom to manipulate or extend your data with an external tool such as Excel.
