Long Description 2:
Good Times Software creatively manages the complexities of timing running races. Its easy yet powerful system enables event directors and timing staff to provide registration and timing services. Uses RFID chip timing or computerized manual entry. They say, 'Necessity is the mother of invention.' The story of Good Times follows suit with that old proverb. For a long time, small- to medium-sized races (less than 250 runners) had few choices for an easy-to-use yet comprehensive registration and timing solution. The choice was one, or the other, but not both: registration software was easy to find, and a few computer-based timing systems were popping up to relieve timing staff from the archaic stopwatch. But as a matter of practice, registration software and timing software desperately needed to be 'hooked together' to provide benefit and meet the demands of event staff. After experiencing the turmoil when these two functions are not 'hooked together,' Good Times software was conceived. (Turmoil: frustrated runners, upset event director, delayed awards ceremonies, inaccurate results, etc.) Good Times software was designed to handle the registration of participants, either manually on race day or by importing data from online registration sites, and then integrate the race timing directly with participant registration data. This integration is what affords instantaneous race results and immediate reporting. Today, the product has matured and includes numerous reports, exporting capabilities, event exception handling (unregistered participants, human error, etc.)
