Whenever a file (e.g. Word document or Excel sheet) is created or modified, a file event will be raised. Such events are caught by DocuCast and used to create instant backups. Each file that is copied specifies a new file revision. All revisions can be opened and restored later, in case data is lost, overwritten or just needed again for any other reason. A comment may be attached to a revision to describe the change. Files may be compressed and encrypted.
